Helpful Hints for Navigating Life

If life is working for you, that’s fantastic! If life isn’t working for you, that’s an opportunity.

The common denominator:  Stuff happens!

Life is a gift, freely offered to all, regardless of race, creed, situation, circumstance, or environment.

How we prepare for the up times, the down times, and the in-between times may mean the difference between success and failure. We all fall short of our goals. Wisdom is born when we accept our mis-takes and learn from them.  Is that easy?  Not necessarily.

“Mistakes are the entrance of discovery.” - Rumi

Learning to forgive may take a lifetime. It’s simple, but not always easy. Hatred and a lack of forgiveness don’t work well. You may hate the perpetrator; that only hurts you.

The key to peace is recognizing that life is for us. Nothing is personal unless we make it so.  What we do, or how we respond is often modeled by our family and life experiences. Taking things personally is a setup. It limits our potential and genius.  Explore the idea that love is for giving. Life is for us – the trick is flipping it from a negative experience to a positive.

Life is a mirror. What we see in another must first exist within us. Wisdom grows when we forgive ourselves and others.  Everyone deserves the dignity of their process – regardless of whether you approve or not.  It’s their life, not yours. Our challenge is to step forward and recognize that everyone does the best they can.  If you could see beyond their pain and trauma, you might just take them in your arms as you would a crying baby.  Don’t get me wrong, this has to do with safety. It allows you to see their frailty and pain. And in that, you see your own humanity.

Why bother? The act of sending love is more powerful than you will ever imagine.  It starts within you and ripples out like a pebble in a pond.  It also comes back to you in unexpected ways.

How you treat yourself, the words you speak, the thoughts you think will bring forward what you expect. Expect the best, you’re worth it. Remember, life is for us.  Challenges strengthen us.

Wisdom is a gift that is often hard-earned.

Put your energy into loving, forgiving, acceptance, and a willingness to grow and you will!
