Freedom and Grace

My husband and I had the incredible opportunity to explore Iceland last week. I’m drawn to its stark beauty, punctuated by dormant millennium-old volcanoes, hot springs, and geysers.  Pastures are strewn with rocks, wild grasses, sheep, and horses. Houses in the country are few and far between.

We arrived in the midst of an active lava flow, offering up toxic fumes, reminded by the press that people have already died after ignoring the warning signs. The “foggy” sky reminds us of how fragile life can be. What grace that the flow stopped just after we landed.

Prior to our visit, we set ourselves up for success. We took the time to set up criteria that would make our trip easy and grace-filled.

What warning signs in life might you ignore? Do you sacrifice your life to make others happy? Do you ignore your gut feeling when making a decision?  This was a tough lesson for me to learn. The gift was freedom and the experience of grace in action.

Wisdom comes in strange ways. I’ve learned that freedom and grace are wonderful bedfellows that align with our highest good.

It’s never too late to free yourself from the past and step into a glorious new future, filled with grace.

Will you join me as fellow travelers into the land of freedom and grace?

Stay tuned for the next stress tip!

Peace & Blessings,
