Living On the Edge

In my last blog post, I talked about Freedom and Grace and the path to moving forward.  That path is simple but not necessarily easy.

Recently I got back from Iceland, awe-filled at the rugged landscape and the resilience of the Icelandic peoples. To this day, they live on the edge, dancing with the ever-present potential for volcanic eruptions.  Dating shows that some stones may be 180-200 million years old. Iceland itself may have formed in three ages.

Fast forward to living on the edge of life. No one is exempt from challenges and opportunities to learn and grow.

Children are imprinted with their parent’s DNA and RNA. Information from prior generations is also encoded from the point of conception.  Their fears are often our fears. They are purposeful – to help us survive.

There is another way!  We all have the opportunity to align with what we desire.

Our genetics do not have to determine our outcomes.  We may be predisposed to fear, allergies, and genetic “conditions.”  That does not preclude us from following a new path that aligns with what we wish to become.  It doesn’t have to be “our way or the highway” – that’s control. Instead, as we become more curious about life, we open to new ideas and opportunities.  Our fixed mindset diminishes. Life on the edge becomes a thing of joy when we look for win-win-win and better-than-we-can-imagine outcomes.  Anxiety will fade (most of the time) and we’ll grow in the wisdom, power, and magnificence of living in freedom.

I invite you to join the joy movement – where we have the opportunity to create lives filled with the unknown. Are you willing to dance on the edge of a future that is better than you can imagine?

Stay tuned for the next stress tip!

Peace & Blessings,

Dr. Lin Morel
